Class of 2018
I live in Braintree. I have two sisters. I am in the Construction Technology program at Blue Hills. I am a football captain and run track. I am also a part of the National Honor Society. I work at Precinct 10 in Weymouth as a busboy as well as work a co-op at Mystic Scenic Studios in Norwood during my shop weeks.
I will go to Westfield State where I plan to major in biology with a concentration in secondary education and minor in coaching. My dream is to come back to Blue Hills to teach biology and coach football.
What BHR has done for you
BHR has given me the option to learn certain skills that wouldn’t be available to any ordinary student. I have been able to learn a trade that I will be able to use the rest of my life, no matter what I decide to do after high school.
Why you came to BHR instead of your local high school
I came to BHR because I wanted to learn more than what other schools would have been able to provide and gain working experience unlike any other kid in school.
A quotation that you live by
“Ignore the score, worry about the next play.”- Tom Brady
I like this quote because the past can never be changed, only the future is in our control.
Your favorite book or movie
“The Art of the Deal” by Donald Trump
Best advice you ever received from a teacher/parent/family member/friend
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Advice you would give to a Grade 8 student applying to BHR
Come to school with an open mind. Make choices based on what you like and don’t feel stuck. I chose to learn construction yet I am going to become a teacher. High school should be enjoyed, it doesn’t have to define your future.
Teacher or faculty member at BHR who has helped or inspired you the most
My football coaches have had the biggest impact on me personally. They have helped mold me into who I am today and taught me some of the most important lessons I could learn as a man without even stepping foot in a classroom.
Who is your hero
I don’t have a hero, per se. I focus on being the best person that I can be and achieving what I want to do, not what anyone else has.
